(WBNG Binghamton) It's unique opportunity to play a game for a good cause. Rex Henry stopped by to talk about it.

The event is an opportunity to see a number of Warhammer 40K table-top strategy games played though out the day.

Warhammer 40K is a miniatures-based, table-top dice strategy game where players pick factions/races to battle it out in a far flung sci-fi set future.

The event was put together to collect food and raise funds for CHOW, our local food pantry.

There will be representatives from clubs through out our region, as far north as Syracuse and as far south as Scranton.

Along with playing the game, it is also a hobby where players are responsible for painting their figures and vehicles, some with exquisite minute detailing.

Bystanders will have the opportunity to see the games played, admire the paint skills of some of our club members and, if they choose, participate in demo games though out the day.

A CHOW barrel will be on hand for people to make donations today until the following Tuesday.

All moneys and food raised will go to local pantries/families directly.

The event will take place at Jupiter Games at 3701 Vestal Pkwy and will run from noon until 6:30 on March 24.
