Around the Tiers: Final Family Fun Friday

(WBNG Binghamton) The final Family Fun Friday begins Friday and is a chance for children heading back to school to get some needed supplies. Mario DiFulvio and Anton Arnoldine came by to tell us more.

Horizons Federal Credit Union will celebrate its 12th year of "Family Fun Fridays" with a press conference on Friday, August 9th at 12:30 p.m. at the credit union's main office at 120 Main Street in Binghamton.
This event also marks the second anniversary of the "Horizons Salutes Young Artists" project, which showcases artwork from area elementary school children on BC Transit Buses and at other venues throughout the year.

The following is a statement from Horizons Credit Union"

"The Horizons Kid's Art project invites art teachers throughout the county to submit their student's best works to the program. Several pieces are chosen to appear on bus posters, sponsored by Horizons, which travel throughout the county on BC Transit buses, some of which appear at the press conference.

For the second year in a row during the month of August, the artwork will be displayed at the Barnes and Noble café in Vestal.

The award-winning "Family Fun Fridays" provides free, fun and educational activities for children of all ages every Friday in August from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m."

The school supplies giveaway begins at noon at 120 Main St. in Binghamton
