(WBNG Binghamton) A great way to celebrate the history of Broome County is happening this weekend. Marcia Ward and Julie Deemie came by to talk about the Fourth Annual Carousel Day.
The Johnson City Partners released the following statement:
"On Saturday July 27 from 10 a.m. -6 p.m., the Johnson City Partners will host Johnson City's Fourth Annual Carousel Day showcasing
Broome County's largest and most ornate Herschell Carousel,
at Historic C. Fred Johnson Park.
Come join us in celebration of our carousel's 90th year!
There will be fun activities for all ages including a Juried Arts &
Crafts Venue featuring the area's finest artisans.
Other activities will include live pony rides and a classic and antique car display.
Come early to hear the Penn Dixie Band play lively
Dixieland Style Jazz while the children are entertained by the
extraordinary talent of juggler Will Stafford and singer/songwriter Johnny Only.
Visit the local history booth and see interesting photos and memorabilia on display."
