(WBNG Binghamton) Annette Snedaker gets us ready for the first ever 5K Walk/Run at Sky Lake.

On October 6th, a 5K trail walk and run at Sky Lake in Windsor will benefit the Sky Lake Campership Fund.

The Sky Lake 5K (formerly a Fall Festival) is the primary way the Sky Lake Campership Fund is replenished.

In addition to the funding available from local churches and organizations, over 100 children, youth, adults, and persons with special needs rely on the Campership Fund to make a week at Sky Lake possible.

The 5K course is set to wind its way through several of the wooded trails around Sky Lake and through the campground. The wooded trails will have numerous roots and portions are apt to be wet and/or muddy.

There will be a modified course around our Family Campground area for those unable to walk or run the main trails. Strollers will only be allowed on the modified course.

Registration begins at 12:30 p.m.
The run starts at 2:15 p.m. and the walk begins at 2:30 p.m.
A Health & Wellness Expo runs from 12:30 - 4:00 p.m.
