Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Students at Binghamton High School can now call themselves published authors.

On Wednesday, tenth grade students received books they've been writing since November 2013.

The books contain all original work and the students are allowed to make and sell copies of their books on websites, such as Amazon.

The sophomores said that although it was a long and sometimes difficult process, the reward at the end was worth the effort.

"I mean, it was nice because I'm only in tenth grade. I got to write my first book, but it was hard. It took a long time and a lot of work," said Jerome Wiggins.

"Everything you see, from the topic of the story and what it's about, all the way through to the design at the end and what they wrote for their biography on the back cover, is all their own creation," said English teacher Jennifer Rogers.

Rogers also said she is very proud of all her students and looks forward to reading the books.
