Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) It wasn't quite lions, tigers and bears, oh my, but ghosts, goblins and witches at the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park.

Many brave souls ventured into the darkness at Boo at the Zoo and many arrived home safely.

Not only was it frightening, but organizers said it's a great way to see the complex.

"So it's a great night to walk around the zoo. Get a little aerobics in, and probably get a little of your lungs cleared out by screaming," said Steven Contento, director of the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park.

Boo at the Zoo has been going on for 25 years to help support the facility.

It continues Saturday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
