Washington D.C. (WBNG Binghamton) Syracuse has had a successful NCAA Tournament so far, and now finds itself just two wins away from the Final Four. The road gets tougher now though, as the Orange faces the East Regions top-seed, Indiana.
However, if the Orange does lose Thursday, many are still questioning head coach Jim Boeheim about if he'll return for a 38th season. Over the last few weeks Boeheim has joked about wanting to go play golf, but during his press conference Wednesday, he tried to put those rumors to rest.
"No there is no process. I'm coaching next year," said Boeheim. "You know I kid around a little bit and everybody gets crazy when I do, so I'm not going to kid around about it anymore. I'm coaching next year. I'm thrilled, I've got a great challenge, looking forward to it."
One game that stuck with Boeheim for quite a while was the last match-up in the NCAA Tournament between Indiana and Syracuse. That was the 1987 NCAA Title game where the Orange lost on a last-second shot to the Hoosiers.
Boeheim claimed Wednesday that he thought about that game until he finally won the title in 2003.
