Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Boys & Girls Club on Saturday celebrated 50 years of making a difference in their current home.

The Boys & Girls Club of Western Broome Family Center welcomed in the community for a day of fun and entertainment to celebrate their golden anniversary of being in the same building at 1 Club House Road.

On Saturday, a gymnastics club showed off their moves right next to exotic animals from the zoo.

There were a lot of activities for children, including necklace making, stickers and a bounce house.

For Executive Director Rick Materese, Saturday was a day to look back on how The Boys & Girls Club has impacted lives throughout the years, including his own.

"The Jones brothers (Arthur, Chandler and Jon) came through this club, we also have people who are doctors, lawyers, all sorts of people have come through this club," Materese said. "I started in this club when it opened in 1963."

Saturday was the final day of the three-day long celebration.
