Town of Dickinson, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Cinco de Mayo celebrations were held all over the world on Sunday. Here in the Southern Tier, a local club held a brunch with all the festive flavors to help raise money for a trip.
The Teen Action Group -- or TAG -- of Broome County 4-H held a Cinco de Mayo brunch at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Sunday afternoon.
TAG members made breakfast and lunch burritos complete with rice, beans and nachos.
All of the funds from the brunch will help send the members to Cecil, Md., for an exchange program.
The co-leader of the 4-H group, Melinda Kuhn, says the trip will help teach the members the main goal of the club: Life lessons.
"Learning how to give back to your community because your community gives so much to you. Giving back to it is very important," Kuhn said.
The club hopes to make the trip this summer.
