Whitney Point, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Sunday marked the end of the 140th Broome County Fair.

"I think what makes the Broom County fair amazing is the family fun," said Gavin Gavazzi, of Chenango Valley.

Each year, thousands of people come to the Broome County Fair at the Whitney Point Fairgrounds, making it one of the largest events in the area. Those who have been attending it for a long time said it has been amazing to watch it grow.

"I've been coming here since I was a little kid. I always came here, they showed horses, they showed cattle, all that stuff," said Erwin Smith, of Whitney Point.

Whether you are big or small, there are always fun games to play. Many people from the younger crowd said they are never bored because of all that the fair has to offer.

"I think it is a little overwhelming because you want to try to do everything at once, but I think the games are the most fun things to do," said Kayle Bailey, of Boston.

Gavin Gavazzi, a volunteer at the fair, said when you come to the Broome County Fair, you know you are going to walk away happy at the end of the day.

"Who doesn't like going on rides, who doesn't like seeing the Ferris wheel go round and round, or hear music in the background, or hear people saying 'come win a game, $5, and win the humongous stuffed animal!' It's a great time," said Gavazzi.

Whether it's letting your kids enjoy the pony ride or riding on the Ferris wheel, there is always something to do at the Broome County Fair.
