Syracuse, NY (WBNG Binghamton) He helped lead Syracuse to its first Final Four in ten years, and now Michael Carter-Williams is taking those talents to the NBA.
Carter-Williams informed Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim earlier this week that he would forgo his junior and senior seasons with the Orange.
“Michael has informed me of his intention to enter the NBA Draft,” said Boeheim. “He’s coming off a tremendous season and we appreciate all he’s done for Syracuse basketball. We wish Michael the best of luck as he pursues a pro career.”
This past season Carter-Williams ranked fifth in the nation in assists per game, averaging 7.3 per game. He also ranked fourth in the country in steals average, with 2.78 per game.
