(WBNG Binghamton) The Chenango Forks Blue Devils are 6 and 0 on the season and find themselves in first place in their division.

And after winning easily the first few weeks, the Blue Devils have had to sweat it out until the end of their last couple of victories.

The Blue Devils stunned Sidney Friday night, erasing a six point deficit in the final minute to eek out a 31-30 victory.

That comes just one week after the Forks defense stopped a Chenango Valley two point conversion in double overtime to win that game 15-13.

Head coach Dave Hogan joked he's lost about 10 years of his life after the last two games.

But adds, he teaches his team to play until the final whistle.

"It's just great to come out on top obviously and get games like this. You know, we talk about games going down to the wire against tough teams. We always say expect the game to go down to the wire and I mean it has the last two weeks and fortunately for us, we've come out on top both times," Hogan says.

Chenango Forks has one more big divisional game, hosting Newark Valley on Saturday afternoon.
