Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Endwell United Methodist Church had their grills going on Saturday.

Members of the church made meals to raise money for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

That included 72 racks of ribs and 120 pieces of chicken.

The barbeque was set up by the Jean's Kids Relay for Life Team.

The team is made up of members of the church in honor of Jean Sanford, who died from cancer.

"Jean was a great lady of this church," said Mike Finney, of the Endwell United Methodist Church. "Just a fantastic lady. If you knew Jean, she was a great gal. She did a lot for the church."

All of the meat was purchased by the church with all proceeds going directly to Relay for Life.

Finney said the church will hold cookouts every month throughout the summer to raise money for different causes.
