(WBNG Binghamton) The high school football playoffs will start this weekend in Class D.

And while the teams that made the playoffs are known, the exact match-ups are not.

The Section 4 football committee met tonight to discuss a protest by one local school, which was denied.

Bainbridge-Guilford coach Tim Mattingly tells Action Sports that the decision was made to have the top two teams in each of the 4 Class D divisions make the playoffs.

Those teams are Unatego, Bainbridge-Guilford, Harpursville, Walton, Groton, Union Springs, tioga and Elmira Notre Dame.

Section 4 football chairman David Garbarino told me earlier that the seedings and game times would be released Tuesday morning.

Once we know who is playing when, we will put up our weekly poll on facebook.
