Conklin, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Hundreds of fathers in the Southern Tier, spent the day with their two favorite things - nice cars and their family.

About 1,000 people attended the 49th Annual Father's Day Antique Car Show and Flea Market.

"It started out where this was something to be done for fathers on Father's Day, and for the families to come and enjoy with them, and it's just kind of grown from there," said George Simon of the Iroquois Region Antique Car Club.

More than 200 hot rod, classic and antique cars were on display at Sunday's car show.

The show was held at Floyd Maines Community Center at the Conklin Sports Park and ran between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The fathers who attended said it was a great way to spend their day, but the part of the day they truly valued was the quality time with their family.
