Former Rotary International president stops in Binghamton

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) International exchange students who are studying in New York got a special visit Sunday.

Former Rotary International President Frank Devlyn stopped in Binghamton.

He spoke at annual rotary dinner at the DoubleTree by Hilton. He talked about projects the Rotary Foundation has spearheaded, getting the students and other audience members excited about global teamwork.

"We've given thousands of wheelchairs, we've given thousands of pacemakers. We are doing open heart surgery, cataract surgery," Devlyn said.

Devlyn is from Mexico City.

He said focuses his humanitarian mission on eliminating polio throughout the world.
