Candor, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Imagine your childhood dreams come to life, well...pumpkin life anyway.

Thousands visit the Iron Kettle Farm in the Town of Candor each year, just to see the dozens of pumpkin displays modeled after their favorite stories from "Sleeping Beauty" to "Toy Story."

Peyton Burns, a spunky seven year old from Elmira, runs from scene to scene pointing out who's who.

"No Ryan," said Burns to her little brother, "That's sleeping beauty, I think"

"She's really at a fun age where she gets everyone she sees," said Burns' mother Stephanie, "She can guess and place it with a movie. It just gets more exciting for us as parents to watch the kids enjoying this so much."

Stephanie Burns laughed as she watched her two kids poke the spider from the "Little Miss Muffet" display.

"We wanted to make sure to come down and check it out," said Stephanie Burns, "It's something we would never miss."

For four year-old Brody Hamilton, he's got a lot of questions for dad about these pumpkin posers.

"He loves it," said Derek Hamilton, "He'll try and pick out, and what each scene is set as. He's usually pretty good at it."

What started as a few pumpkin men on the side of the road to attract customers has turned into its own event.

For more than 40 years, people have been coming to take their pictures with the pumpkins.

"My parents didn't expect it to turn into this," said Jen Jennison, who helps run the farm, "But it now has my brother, my sister, all back in the business with our families. So this business supports five families."

And pleasing generations of families more.

Lindsey Horton came to the pumpkin patch with her parents, now she's bringing her own three-month-old daughter.

"It's something I've been looking forward to since she was born" said Horton, "It hasn't changed much since I was a kid."

Something thousands each year continue to enjoy.
