Healthcare experts travel to BU

Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) An annual health symposium brings professionals from all over New York to Binghamton University.

The University Wide Occasional Seminar on Healthcare Management and Policy was held at BU today.

The symposium educated students and professionals about health care policy and the impact and resource needs of HIV testing in New York State, and the medical importance of breast feeding.

A coordinator said events like this are important to educate the people of New York.

"We want to go around to the state and discuss the policy issues," said Thomas Gais, from the Rockefeller Institute of Government, "So we have policy forums on economic development intended for university and colleges."

It's an annual Binghamton Symposium on Healthcare Management and Policy is held at the University..

The seminars are free to professionals, students and the public.
