Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) 100 bags of groceries are raffled off at the Oakdale Mall, all to help the community have a healthier lifestyle and heart.
The 4th annual Weis Markets Healthy Heart day drew in crowds at center court.
Samples of healthy foods, zumba classes and booklets showed passer-bys that being heart healthy isn't just good for you, it's fun.
They also offered free flu shots and blood pressure screenings.
Weis Markets Registered Dietitian, Beth Stark, said one of the main attractions of the event gets bigger each year, the raffle.
The grocery bags were filled with $40 worth of heart healthy food.
WBNG-TV, American Heart Association, Broome County Health Department, United Health Services and Cornell Cooperative Extension all partnered with Weis for the event.
The next Healthy Heart Day is Friday, Feb. 1, which coincides with American Heart Association's National Wear Red Day. At Weis Market locations there will be free screenings and a Weis Markets' corporate dietitian will conduct a supermarket tour.
