Sayre, PA (WBNG Binghamton) Given the chance to win $3,000, four high schools competed in the 34th annual "Scholarship Challenge" Saturday.
Students took the stage to test their intellectual skills through trivia.
Three of the four schools had won the challenge before.
Pennsylvania's North Rome Christian School was the newest team this year.
The school's trivia buffs may have been new to the competition, but they were not intimidated.
"Some people might consider us an underdog because it's a small school," said Nathan Schmieg of North Rome Christian. "We have a lot of smart people on the team and I think we'll be ready to compete."
North Rome Christian played to win, and did exactly that. The school defeated Tioga Central 60 to 30 in the finals.
The school will take home the money and the prized "Kwasnoski Cup."
