Town of Dickinson, NY (WBNG Binghamton) More than 100 people gathered at the BCC Ice Center Saturday in the fight against cancer.

Hockey 4 Hope is an annual hockey game that raises money for the Gellar Oncology Fund at Lourdes Hospital.

Hockey 4 Hope was started by Brian Laing in honor of his aunt, Connie Glauser, who died of breast cancer in 2006.

Participants now play in honor of all those who are fighting cancer or who have lost their lives to the disease.

"I realized it was more than just about my aunt dying of breast cancer," Director for Hockey 4 Hope Brian Laing said. "Everybody here has been affected. Some of the guys have even had cancer."

"I was affected by cancer the last 15 months, so this is very special," Mark Laskoski said. "I also have a good friend who is also a cancer survivor and he will be skating tonight."

Saturday's event was the fourth annual Hockey 4 Hope game.
