Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The 2011 Dick's Sporting Goods Open is in the books.

This year's tournament might be remembered as the year a rookie took home the title.

John Huston shot a final round 65 to capture the title in only his 3rd start on the Champions Tour.

He birdied 15, 16 and 17 to secure the victory.

He also says, his playing partners, helped to keep him calm.

"I think it's a little more relaxed out here and its not, we're probably pretty tough on ourselves on the regular tour and it doesn't seem like its quite as life or death out here and it's a lot more fun," he says.

Huston's win comes just 25 days after turning 50, making him the 11th youngest winner in Champions Tour history.

One of the key's for Huston was his play on the back nine.

He did not make a bogey in any of his three rounds and was a combined 9-under-par.
