Intersection Closure for Court St. Gateway

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Motorists will soon have to find some alternate routes around a tricky intersection in downtown Binghamton.

Work on the Court Street gateway project will move to the next phase next week. That means the Court, Chenango and Exchange street interesection will be closed starting next Monday morning, and will remain closed until July 27.

Ground was broken in March on the $2.7 million project.

It will create a roundabout at the intersection of Court, Chenango and Exchange streets.

State and federal funding will cover 95 percent of costs.
