The host of the Maggie Memorial is of course U-E grad Isaiah Kacyvenski, a former linebacker in the NFL.
He and his former Harvard roommate Chris Nowinski have been at the forefront of brain research involving concussions.
Kaz was actually the first former player to donate his brain to research,
And he takes great pride in seeing his work become a big part of a national discussion of brain injuries.

Kacyvenski wanted to point out that it's not just football that causes head injuries in sports, but wants to see more research done to make the game safe for future generations of players, like his own son.
