Kirkwood, NY (WBNG-Binghamton) After the death of Scott Wright Jr., a number of local businesses are reaching out to help the family.

Friends and family gathered at the Martini Room in Kirkwood to hold a fundraiser in memory of Wright.

Dozens of different vendors from the Binghamton area donated what they could for a 50/50 raffle to help raise money for the family.

The family said it's wonderful to see the community showing respect to Wright in so many ways.

"I'm just happy that they all have him and remember him and they will do whatever they can to keep a memory of him," said Yahira Garcia, Wright's mother.

On July 29 you can donate blood in memory of Wright from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus located at 136 Park Ave. In Binghamton.
