Lower fares and extended hours for holiday season

Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Broome County announced extended hours for B.C. Transit, Thursday through Saturdays during the holiday season.

On Thursday, Debbie Preston, County Executive, joined Mike Sopchak, Broome County Legislator, and Nancy Phillips, the Marketing Director for the Oakdale Mall, at the mall to announce the change.

Starting Thursday, Nov. 21, B.C. Transit hours on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights will be until 9 p.m. The longer service hours will also be for Monday, Dec. 23.

Fares during those times will be $1.00, half price, during the holiday season.

On Thursday and Friday nights, the #57 Shoppers Special and #55 Endwell Shuttle will provide the extended hours.

All transit buses will extend to 9 p.m. on Saturdays.
