Town of Tioga, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Tioga County Sheriff's Office charged Douglas Every, 62, with the murder of his partner Milton Jump, 39.

The Sheriff's Office said around 8 p.m. Wednesday night, they received a 911 call from Every at his home on 281 Thorn Hollow Road in the Town of Tioga.

When deputies arrived, Every met them outside and told them another man was in the house.

"When we got there, we obviously found Milton Jump was the individual inside who was deceased with an apparent stab wound," said Captain Tim Jewell of the Tioga County Sheriff's Office.

Jewell said both men lived in the house together.

"There was a domestic relationship between the two of them as far as we know and they have known each other for a period of time. How long the relationship as been? I'm not sure," said Jewell.

According to the victim's family, Every and Jump were involved in a relationship years ago but were now just roommates.

One of the men's neighbors wished to remain anonymous when they said they considered Every a "good guy" and added they're shocked to hear what happened.

Right now, the sheriff's office is following up on leads in this investigation.

Every was a real estate agent in the area and according to his website, his office was on 405 Main St. in Owego.

The owner of the building said Every had not worked there since May.

He was arraigned in Tioga Town Court and is being held in the Tioga County Jail without bail.

The sheriff's office is asking anyone with information on the men's relationship, or what happened at their home last night to give them a call at (607) 687-1010.
