(WBNG Binghamton) Officials for the Mirabito Family of Companies announced plans for the acquisition of all Manley’s Mighty-Mart locations.
Manley’s currently maintains 17 convenience stores in Binghamton, Endicott, Endwell, Vestal, Johnson City, Windsor, Ithaca and Glen Aubrey.
“We’re pleased that Mr. Tony Manley has accepted our offer to purchase his locations,” said Mirabito Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Joseph P. Mirabito. “Mr. Manley grew his business much like our family grew ours, through hard work and dedication both to customers and community.”
Joseph Mirabito said Tony Manley did a great job building his convenience stores and that this will only help expand the Mirabito brand.
"From a distribution standpoint, hopefully it will make us more efficient in the distribution of the energy products that we distribute as well as the convenient store items," stated Mirabito.
Mirabito currently operates 57 Mirabito Convenience Stores, Convenience Express, and Quickway Food Store locations throughout central New York. Including the new Manley acquired sites, the chain will grow to 74.
The Weis Gas Reward Points, a program exclusive to Weis and Manley's, will continue. Mirabito also said the Mighty-Marts will keep its name for the time being.
The new sites will officially start transitioning April 28. Mirabito initially will operate the Manley's sites independently, keeping all current programs and offerings. Mirabito is assuring all customers that the changeover should be seamless and that customers can expect outstanding service throughout the process.
The Mirabito Family of Companies operates in eight states with multiple divisions including, Natural Gas and Electric, Home Heating Products and Services, Wholesale Energy Products and Services, Convenience Stores, and Mirabito Truck Repair.
