Murray Street fire ruled arson

(WBNG Binghamton) A fire that damaged a home containing multiple apartments has been ruled arson.

It happened April 6 at 126 Murray St. in Binghamton.

Smoke caused heavy damage to the back of the house.

Initial reports indicated a woman was trapped on the third floor, but she got out safely.

Police say they don't know who started the fire, and have no leads or suspects.

The fire was knocked down in approximately 30 to 45 minutes.

Binghamton police are involved in the investigation.
