Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) More than 160 fifth- and sixth-grade chorus members from Vestal Middle School warmed up their voices Saturday at Binghamton University.

The students were getting ready for the second day of the Broome County Music Educators Festival.

Action News caught up with them while they were rehearsing for their big moment.

"Music and any art form really brings such an intrinsic quality to their lives," guest conductor Sophia Miller said. "Singing has something special that not all art forms do and that it applies text to music."

Orchestra and band students also participated in the festival.
