(WBNG Binghamton) The New York State Senate and Assembly have passed a constitutional amendment, giving the green light for casino gambling to go before a popular vote, according to state Sen. Tom Libous' office.

The vote will take place in November. If approved, a new Gaming Facility Location Board will choose four locations for casinos across the state, including the Southern Tier.
