Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The penguins at the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park are not rooting for their birded brethren in the Calder Cup playoffs against the B-Sens.

Even thought the B-Sens are facing off against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, their loyalty is with the Senators.

To prove it to you, the zoo has renamed the penguins to "senguins."

"A few of our staff members are avid hockey fans," zoo director Steve Contento said. "Some don't miss a game so we decided to decorate our penguins, alias 'senguins,' up to try and promote everybody and get some team spirit going."

Zoo staff also renamed six of the penguins after players on the B-Sens team.

They named the penguins after:
Mark Borowiecki
Hugh Jessiman
Dustin Gazley
Nathan Lawson
Shane Prince
Corey Cowick

The senguins keep their names until the end of the series.
