Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton Police charged a 17-year-old man from Brooklyn with Attempted Murder for shooting a 21-year-old man Wednesday. Police say the two got into an argument at 4 Roberts Street.

Dajhoun T. Perez was arraigned in Binghamton City Court on two counts of attempted murder, criminal use of a firearm, and criminal possession of a weapon.

He was taken to Broome County Jail without bail until his next court appearance.

Capt. Jack Collins said the two men got into an argument at 4 Roberts Street. Police and SWAT responded just after 1 p.m. Wednesday to a reported shooting.

Collins said the suspect, Perez, fired at least three shots from a 40-caliber handgun. The victim was taken to Wilson Hospital and treated for a gunshot wound to the leg.
