Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Hundreds packed downtown Binghamton for the tenth Annual Pride Palooza.

The annual Pride Palooza kicked off Saturday morning. Colorful balloons and rainbow flags lined Court St., between Collier St. and State St.

The event began at 12 p.m. and continued until 8 p.m.

Coordinators said this was a day for many people in the LGBTQ community to come out to celebrate being who they are, and have the whole community join in on the fun.

"My hope is that it is an event for Binghamton, for the whole community, not just for the LGBTQ community," said Chris Waters, of the Binghamton Pride Coalition.

Throughout the day there were shows and performances. Waters said the drag shows draw the largest crowds. There were two drag shows at the Palooza on Saturday, one at 3 p.m. and another at 6 p.m.
