Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton)

One of the big events of the summer schedule drops the green flag next week.
The Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen is one of two road course stops during the NASCAR season, which means it takes a little something extra to get ready for the race.

Kevin Harvick says, " It takes a totally different car than the one we race on a weekly basis. From a drivers' standpoint you're turning right, which we don't do unless we're pulling behind the wall in the garage. I think for the most part most of the drivers in our sport enjoy going road racing because it's something we don't get to do that much."
Harvick won the race at the Glen back in 2006.
He was in Johnson City today for the opening of Ollie's Bargain Outlet.
Racing at the Glen starts next week with the big Sprint Cup race dropping the flag for racing at 1:00 on sunday the 14th.
