Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The New York Pizzeria in Binghamton is running business as usual, and still delivering pies anywhere they can still get too.
By 7 o'clock Monday evening the pizzeria has already delivered more than 50 pies in the Binghamton Area.
They say the number of calls has tapered off since the State of Emergency was issued.
Inside, Action News Reporter Brandi Bailey found a group of regulars who spend three nights a week at the pizza shop.
They weren't going to let Sandy get in the way of enjoying their favorite slice.
"Why not, I mean, a nice storm and good pizza. They equal out," said regular, Christopher Dailey.
"We will stay open until our normal time tonight which is 11 o'clock, as long as we have open and there's a way for someone to get here, we'll be open," said manager, Chris Cherry.
New York Pizzeria says it's their loyal customer base that drives them to fight back against Sandy and keep serving.
