Binghamton,NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Sherwood turned 100 Wednesday, leaving the owners to celebrate with a 16-piece band, food, drink and free tours.

The Dunlaps bought the hotel back in October and have been working to fix the interior.

"As soon as we bought it we started working," said co-owner Amanda Dunlap. "We have renovated all of the hotel rooms, new paint, new fixtures, new furniture and new kitchen and all new decorations throughout the building."

Dunlap says The Sherwood is an important part of the Greene community interaction. "We really wanted to renovate it, bring it back to life and give the community a place to come again," said Dunlap.

The hotel still needs a few touches, and is expected to open at the end of June. The Sherwood will need up to 30 new employees, so anyone interested can attend a job fair there on Saturday, May 25.
