Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton)

The heat has finally kicked on outside, just when things are really warming up on the ice.
The Binghamton Senators are in Charlotte tonight to get ready for tomorrow's game one of their Eastern Conference finals with the Checkers.

A key for the team will be getting their power play warmed up as well.
The B-Sens had the best man-up advantage in the league during the regular season, but that percentage is down a little bit in the playoffs.

"Any time in the playoffs and get a power-play goal or two in a game it can be...you can win getting power play goals. Special teams is big."

"Our whole team is about the little things. It's about the details. It's about finishing checks. It's being disciplined and playing whistle to whistle, and guys showing up and doing it for 60 minutes not 55 minutes like we learned in the past."

Maybe of equal importance is the play when Binghamton is down a man.
They have one of the worst penalty kill numbers in the post season.
Game one in Charlotte Thursday night at 7:00.
