For the first time in over a decade, the state legion baseball tournament is coming back to Binghamton.
And two local teams are looking to make their mark on the home field.

Binghamton Post 1645 won the district 6 tournament last week, and Hillcrest is the official host team.
That gives the Greater Binghamton Area 2 teams in the 8 team tournament.
But both will have their work cut out for them to advance out of the double-elimination tourney.

Gil Wood says, " The way it looks right now, just on paper, the West Seneca Falls team has 9 college students. They could be strong, but anybody can beat anybody. Binghamton looks strong, they can hit but a little weak on pitching. Hillcrest they have a shot. But it's a very strong tournament this year."

Wood says the tournament will be moving to the Utica area starting next year.
