State gymnastics meet sheds light on Binghamton

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The New York State Boys Gymnastics Championship brought athletes from all over the state to the Greater Binghamton Sports Complex.

Nealry 50 gyms and more than 500 young athletes competed in six different events, including the rings and parallel bars.

Chenango Gym head coach Jeff Sabol said it was a chance for the sport to experience Binghamton while competing.

Sabol had 25 athletes competing in the state competition.

He says the teams next step is to focus and prepare themselves for next year.
