Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Binghamton High School students hosted some special guests from across town.

Fifteen students from Vestal High School spent the day at BHS as part of a Binghamton-Vestal exchange program, which is organized by their student governments.

BHS senior Gerald Eggleston said the goal of the program is to learn from each other.

"You have Vestal which is more of a more of a organized run school versus us which is a very diverse school. So I just wanted to see the differences that you have between the students and the education." Eggleston said.

"I think it's a great opportunity to share knowledge between the different schools and to also make some friends at neighboring districts just to unite the community," said VHS senior Anna McCarthy.

Binghamton students will visit Vestal sometime in the near future. When that happens, Gerald said he is excited to bring new ideas to back Binghamton.
