Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A free dinner held at the United Presbyterian Church of Binghamton meant some less fortunate folks could still have a warm Thanksgiving dinner this year.
More than 250 people gathered Tuesday to celebrate the giving thanks with a free dinner provided by the Rescue Mission.
Everyone got the chance to enjoy all the trimmings; hot turkey, stuffing, potatoes, dessert, everything that makes Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving.
"These are individuals that are often hungry and in need. And it's a great opportunity for the community to share how much they care for these individuals and these families," said Alan Thornton, C.E.O. of Rescue Mission.
More than 40 volunteers helped out with the dinner.
