Tracking Sandy: Broome County Emergency Services

Town of Dickinson, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Emergency responders are working through the night at Broome County Emergency Services.

Planning stations are set up for NYSEG, the Broome County Health Department and the Department of Transportation.

At 9 p.m., Broome County officials had a briefing with the National Weather Service.

Experts there say the brunt of the storm will hit Broome County between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m.

As of 10:00 p.m., there were 1,000 power outages in Broome County alone. NYSEG is on call throughout the night working on those outages.

Responders at Broome County Emergency Services have been activated until 7 a.m. Tuesday when another assessment will be made.
