Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamron) The Tri-Cities Opera gets ready to lift the curtain on its 2012-2013 season.

TCO General Director Reed Smith took the stage today to talk about plans for the extraordinary season.

The line up promises some of the most popular opera works, including a repertoire not performed in Greater Binghamton in more than 30 years.

The 64th season kicks off the weekend of October 26th with La Boheme Guiseppe Verdi's Il Trovatore.

"We have to start planning right away this summer for next year," said Smith. "We get together the scenery, costumes and plane on the rehearsals and we will be having coarse additions coming up in September."

The TCO recently completed its first full season utilizing online ticketing and donation software.
