(WBNG BInghamton) New York State Police identified the body recovered from the Chenango River Friday.

Police identified the body as 57-year-old Steven Moran, of Greene, who had been missing from Chenango County since December 2013. Police and the family were looking for him and said Moran suffered from bipolar disorder.

State Police rescue boats were seen searching the river in the area of the Chenango Commons Golf Course around 12:00 p.m. on Friday.

According to investigators, his body was identified through dental records.

An autopsy at Wilson hospital showed Moran died by drowning, complicated by hypothermia.

The New York State Police SCUBA team was assisted at the scene by the New York State Forest Rangers and Chenango County Sheriff's Department.

Investigators said there are no signs of foul play.
