Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Playing in his first full 9 inning game of his rehab assignment, Justin Turner went 2 for 3 and was hit by a pitch.
He had an RBI and scored twice.
Turner, who has been out since June 17th with an injury to a rib muscle, is trying to work his way back to the big leagues.
He says he feels great, especially after playing for the first time in the field last night.
"I was just excited to be back on the field. D-Hed a game on Saturday, got rained out on Sunday in Port St. Lucie so it was just refreshing to get back on the field and be out here and it's really a great group of guys here," Turner says.
The rehab assignment comes at a perfect time, as the New York Mets are off for the All-Star Break.
There's hope that Turner will be able to rejoin the team when it starts the second half of the season on Friday.
