As if on cue, we mention former Union-Endicott standout Jim Johnson and he does something new.
Last night he earned his first save of the season after pitching 2 perfect innings of relief against the Boston Red Sox.
That outing lowers his ERA and ups his team leading number of appearances out of the pen.
Even as a middle reliever he has become a standout athlete for the Orioles.
But as coincidence would have it, he's not even the most famous pro athlete from his high school in Baltimore.
Of course Arthur Jones plays for the Baltimore Ravens, and Jim says he's trying to get big Art over to Camden Yards to try a new sport.
" I'm trying to get him in here but it's tough to get in touch with him with the situation they're going through. Hopefully soon I can get him out here to take BP. I hear he might have a career in ultimate fighting. Last I heard he was working out with his brother. But I'm sure he'll be fine, I'm sure the lockout will get resolved and he'll have football."
They may have that chance soon as it sounds like the NFL negotiations are nearly complete, so Art would be heading back to Baltimore for training camp as soon as next week.
