Rochester, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Wegmans voluntarily recalled some items in its produce and bakery departments.

According to Wegmans' website, nectarines, plums and peaches purchased between June 1 and July 20 are recalled.

Recalls includes organic and non-organic, multiple varieties and sizes.

Wegmans also recalled bakery items that may contain these fruits.

The fruit was supplied by California-based Wawona Packing Company, which issued a voluntary recall when routine testing by the company showed potential contamination with listeria.

Listeria is a bacterium that can contaminate foods and cause a mild non-invasive illness or a severe, sometimes life-threatening, illness.

The symptoms of listeria include fever, muscle aches, and sometimes nausea or diarrhea.

Customers are asked to discard the items.

A full refund can be collected at Wegmans' service desk.

Wegmans is just one of dozens of grocery stores affected across the nation. To see a full list of stores, visit the FDA website.
