Walton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A woman accused of threatening Walton schools through Facebook cut a deal with prosecutors Monday.
Jennifer Morris, 28, of East Branch, pleaded guilty to a felony charge of falsely reporting an incident.
The deal will likely have her serve six months in Delaware County Jail and five years of probation upon her release. She is also prohibited from having any contact with the victims named in the indictment.
Morris circulated warnings in June that there would be an explosion at Walton Central School.
She was originally charged with four counts of falsely reporting an incident and seven counts of aggravated harassment.
Community members from Walton who attended the court hearing Monday said they were unhappy with the deal, and will prepare statements to read before Judge Carl Becker at the sentencing date.
Morris is scheduled to be sentence at 10 a.m. Sept. 30.
