Town of Dickinson (WBNG Binghamton) This year's Spiedie Fest broke records for the Town of Dickinson.

Over 63,000 visitors packed the park on Saturday.

That's the most for a single day.

Weekend attendance totaled around 100,000 people.

Organizers say that didn't break the overall attendance record, but was still a strong showing sending vendors home happy.

Fair weather allowed for three out of the five scheduled balloon launches to go off.

Some in the ballooning community say that makes for a good weekend.

"It says a lot for our community that came out, a lot for our businesses that support the event, and our 500 volunteers that worked very hard. And the county that helped get this park together and cleaned up each night and ready for the crowds for the next day," said event coordinator, Dave Pessagno.

Planning for next year's Spiedie Fest starts almost immediately.

Next year's Speedie Fest organizers will sit down as early as next week to talk about ways to improve the event.

Passagno said it's the dedication that has made this event successful for the past 29 years.
